• In 2014, I began to produce content for fans of the SOCOM US NAVY SEALs series on PlayStation using the persona "SOCOM HQ". I used Twitter as my main method to communicate with fans of the SOCOM franchise. I chose Twitter because it's the best platform for gaming communities and also promotion. My main goal when starting the account was to promote SOCOM private servers. Since SOCOM was shutdown, these servers were my only way of playing SOCOM and feeling the nostalgia of the glory days. I quickly became annoyed of servers dying at 1am and not having anyone to play with (I was a late night gamer). So I created the SOCOM HQ persona and started promoting any server I was playing on, in hopes of increasing the player base and having more people to game with. After years of producing content for SOCOM and keeping the name alive, I gained a following. At that point, I decided to start creating content for SOCOM on YouTube under the name "SOCOMJOHN".

Video games have always been one of my greatest passions. I have dedicated my entire life to them.  My gaming passion really increased after my wrist accident and inevitable surgery in 2020, that is when I had a screw inserted into my right wrist. After my surgery, I really felt a sense of urgency when it came to making content. 

Suddenly, I went from being a highly competent gamer one day, to not being able to whip my own @#! the next.  In my life, it was a very scary moment that humbled me, and most importantly, my dreams. After my wrist surgery in 2020, I never imagined that I would be able to play video games again. Therefore, I began creating content once I had fully recovered.  This is my journey towards becoming an expert in video games, and someone that gamers can trust for entertainment.
